Mógil creates a unique sound world where classical music, folk music, jazz, and experimental sounds seamlessly merge. The band's lineup includes Heiða Árnadóttir as the vocalist, Joachim Badenhorst on clarinet, Hilmar Jensson on guitar, Kristín Þóra Haraldsdóttir on viola, and Eiríkur Orri Ólafsson on trumpet.

Mógil has toured extensively both in Iceland and abroad, performing at numerous prestigious music festivals such as the Reykjavík Jazz Festival, Iceland Airwaves, the Folk Song Festival in Siglufjörður, and the WOMEX World Music Festival.

Mógil has released four Cds,   „Ró“ (2008) released by Radical Duke in Belgium,  "Í stillunni hljómar" (2012),  "Korriró" (2015)  and their latest CD „Adventa“ , based on Gunnar Gunnarsson´s famous novel of the same name, was issued by the respectable German publishing company Winter and Winter in 2019.  Mógil ís in the process of writing new songs inspired by drawings and words of the wanderer Sölvi Helgason.
